Do you provide architectural design services?

Yes. Chester Inc. is a design-build architectural and construction firm. Our in-house architectural and civil engineering teams works closely with you to create a functional, efficient design that reflects your brand, culture, and operational needs.

We also operate as the general contractor for your project. We coordinate with all necessary subcontractors. This reduces the need for multiple contracts with architects, engineers, contractors, and construction managers.

How involved will we be in the design process?

You’ll be involved at every key decision point. We guide the process, present clear options, and ensure the final design aligns with your goals and budget.

Can the building be designed for future growth?

Absolutely. When possible, we design facilities with flexibility and future expansion in mind.

Who will be our main point of contact?

You’ll have a dedicated sales engineer and project manager who will serve as your points of contact throughout the entire project. We provide regular updates through meetings, schedules, and progress reports to keep you informed every step of the way.

Will Chester Inc. handle permits and inspections?

Yes. Our team manages the approval process from start to finish, including zoning and planning reviews.

We also coordinate permitting, inspections, and approvals with local utilities, so you don’t have to manage multiple agencies.

How is project cost determined?

Using our internal estimating expertise developed over 50 years of cost scope analysis, project costs are developed during pre-construction based on scope, size, site conditions, materials, and schedule. As the design progresses, we refine pricing, so you have a clear and accurate understanding of costs before construction begins.

How long will our project take?

Each project is unique, but typical ground-up projects including permits take 14 months or less. We develop a detailed schedule outlining design, permitting, construction, and completion milestones, and we look for opportunities to streamline timelines through our integrated design-build process.

We also proactively manage the schedule and communicate any potential impacts early, along with solutions to minimize delays and keep the project moving.
